Andrew brings a background in geographic analysis, staff management, and project leadership to his role as General Manager at NationalMap.
With almost 30 years' experience in the GIS sector – as both a practitioner and educator – Andrew offers a unique experience base that ensures NationalMap’s data solutions continue to be developed and maintained to the exacting standards expected by customers.
Andrew has held a number of GIS-related and team leader roles within the public and private sectors both in New Zealand and Central Asia and, as General Manager of NationalMap Limited, oversees the management of NationalMap Limited’s core data assets and the production of solutions such as NationalMap, NationalMap Data Service, and our CNAR (Comprehensive National Address Register) dataset.
Andrew has a Master of Science Degree (Geographic Information Systems) from Salzburg University (Austria).
Scott has worked in the geospatial sector for over 7 years and has worked in technology companies of various shapes and sizes for over 20 years, developing an excellent understanding of the challenges faced by both public and private sector organisations.
As Head of Growth, Scott is a senior stakeholder manager, negotiator and sales strategist, helping New Zealand businesses achieve their dreams for growth.
On a day-to-day basis, Scott has worked alongside some of Australasia’s largest public companies and government agencies, helping them leverage spatial data and technologies tools to achieve their objectives.
Scott has been in senior management roles for many years. His solution sales experience, broad commercial background, and customer-centric approach allows him to identify obstacles, develop sound business cases for solutions, and align required resources for implementation so that all stakeholders’ requirements are met.
